Alex LaBeau, President, Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry

Alex became IACI’s fifth President on September 25, 2006.  Alex has participated extensively on IACI’s Public Affairs and Tax Policy Committees since 1993 on behalf of the Idaho Association of Realtors. In January 2004 he was named CEO of that organization.

Alex is also the current chairman of the Idaho Liability Reform Coalition. He has served as president of the Boise State University Alumni Association and on the board of the American Red Cross.  In 2004, he was named to the Idaho Business Review’s “Accomplished Under 40” list of prominent business people.

He holds a BA in Communications (journalism and mass media) and a Master’s of Public Administration, both from BSU.  In 2001, he was inducted into Pi Alpha Alpha, the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration.

Alex and his wife, Marilyn, have a six-year-old son, A.J.

Cary Hegreberg, Executive Director, Montana Contractors’ Association

Cary Hegreberg is the Executive Director of the Montana Contractors’ Association, a statewide trade organization representing commercial construction firms.  He worked in Washington state promoting the agricultural industry before moving to Montana in 1992 to serve as the Executive Vice President of the Montana Wood Products Association.

Cary attended the University of Idaho, earning a degree in Journalism, and Eastern Washington University, earning a Masters degree in Public Administration.  He was raised on a wheat and cattle operation in western North Dakota, and currently operates an irrigated hay farm near Townsend, MT.

His wife of 23 years, Shirley, and he have three grown children and six grandkids.
